About the Game

Silverthorn is a stylish, contemporary, gothic visual novel focusing primarily on M/M relationships and other themes of queer identity. As it features adult NSFW content, it is intended to be played only by readers who are 18 years-old and above. Therefore, discretion is advised.

The story follows the experiences of Zaid Malek, a brilliant yet jaded young man with a checkered past, who returns to university in his home town only to be thrust into a secret world of were-creatures known as the Koa. 

As fate would have it, he is the first person in half a decade worthy of becoming the new leader and progenitor of the town's forgotten tribe. Though the world of these creatures and the powers they grant him are alluring, in time, Zaid comes to realize that he is the one now responsible for the very human grief and follies of all those he has converted to serve under him. This is part of a very ancient cycle of pain that torments his kind, and there is a question he will have to answer in order to define what his community will mean within it: 

Is it better to be feared as a monster, or loved as a man?
